Released: OCTOBER 7!
A funny, heartwarming picture book for ages 3–8 about courage, confidence, and the magic of being yourself.
It was supposed to be a magical night…
until a few mischievous kittens turned it into chaos.
Can the tiniest voice save the day?
At Monster Scare Prep School, every monster is practicing their scariest roar. But when Meep tries, all that comes out is a squeaky little “meep.” The others laugh—until real trouble strikes, and Meep may be the only one who can save the day.
Will he find his roar—or discover that being himself is more than enough?
Funny, playful, and full of heart, Monsters Don’t Say Meep is a laugh-out-loud monster adventure about courage, individuality, and the magic of being yourself—reminding us that sometimes the smallest voice makes the biggest impact.
Perfect for bedtime, classrooms, and storytime, this book will have kids (and adults) cheering for their own true voices.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) with Monsters Don’t Say Meep
At its heart, Monsters Don’t Say Meep is more than a story for building confidence, courage, and kindness in children. Designed for PreK–2nd grade, the book and its activities support key SEL outcomes that teachers, librarians, and parents value.
*Confidence in Being Different
Meep discovers that being unique makes him strong. Children are encouraged to celebrate what makes them special, while respecting what makes others different.
*Resilience & Kindness
When the monsters laugh at Meep, kids learn two things: it’s okay to feel hurt and keep going — and it’s important not to make fun of others because words can hurt.
*Self-Expression, Courage, & Finding Their Voice
Kids see that even if they feel small or shy, their voice matters — and learn to value the voices of others, too.
*Empathy & Respect for Others
The story helps children recognize how good it feels to be treated with kindness — and reminds them to offer the same to others.
Bridgetta Tomarchio is an author, ghostwriter, and mama who believes every child’s voice is magic. Her debut children’s book, Monsters Don’t Say Meep, was inspired by her son, Lucian. When he started kindergarten, he began copying the way other kids spoke instead of using his own unique voice. Bridgetta reminded him again and again, “We love Lucian’s real voice.” That message—that our true voice is the most powerful part of who we are—became the heart of this story.
Raised in Maryland, Bridgetta grew up as a bookworm, spending countless hours in local libraries that fueled her imagination and gave her the courage to dream bigger. She went on to follow those dreams in Hollywood, starring in national ad campaigns, TV, and film. Today, she has come full circle, returning to her roots as an author and mom, using her storytelling to inspire the next generation.
“I wrote this book because I want kids to know the same thing I tell my son: you are enough exactly as you are,” Bridgetta shares. “Even if you’re small, you can do big things—and even the tiniest roar can make the biggest difference.”
Now residing in South Florida, when she’s not writing or coaching other authors, Bridgetta can be found going on adventures with Lucian, her favorite little co-creator.
